I am an artist and also a qualified coach. I have over twenty-six years of experience of family law as a solicitor, barrister, law lecturer, author and full-time Judge.  I have been making art for over fifteen year-end have been in numerous gallery shows with groups, with a partner and solo, I have sold and shown art in four different continents. I have now created a unique portfolio practice using all my combined skills to help others live to their full potential.

I coach both artists and lawyers. My creative thinking abilities help lawyers think differently about how they can enhance their practice and deal with the stress of the legal world.  My experiences with the practicalities and the art world and with telling stories for a living enable me to support artists not only to make art but to make an artistic life.

It is never too late (or too early!) to create a meaningful life.

As a former barrister and Judge working in the areas of immigration and family law my art work naturally gravitates to themes related to people experiencing upheaval or struggle and to storytelling and forms of self expression. I am interested in language and themes of difference and variety.

My art is inspired by the graffiti found in the inner city areas where different cultures often mingle together. I work in acrylics on textile and paper.

My next art show Language Lessons will be at Gallery 1889, 36 Windsor Street, Liverpool L8 1XF.  You are all welcome at the two preview parties – 6.30 – 9 pm Friday 8th and Saturday 9th July 2022
